Regional planning Association, Pielachtal
Description for LAG
The Pielach Valley LAG is made up of the mayors of 8 Pielach Valley communities, the responsible regional managers as well as 11 other representatives from commerce, tourism, agriculture and conservation.
Strategy
The development strategy, which is built up on natural space strengths from the projects that have already been started, like Perma-Culture the “Huchen Habitat” project, the numerous co-operations in the initial production and in the areas of processing and marketing respectively, targets the closing of regional economic cycles in the valley and builds upon the development of an “integrative” tourism from one of these projects, which processes the beauty, natural specialities and strengths of the valley in a high quality way.
An integrated valley economy should be achieved in which the citizens are optimally integrated.
Built upon this, an integrative tourism that uses the natural space and strengths of the valley, that were processed in the framework of the LEADER+ strategy, makes an additional development effect with lasting results in a commuter region possible.
In this sense, the sustainability of the project is guaranteed. The valley resources will be maintained for future generations.
