Cycle tour on the Mur cycle route, viewing bridges and footbridges along the river Mur The Mur cycle route winds for 340 km along the Mur, from St. Michael in Lungau to Bad Radkersburg in southern Styria. Numerous imposing bridges and footbridges are to be found in the upper reaches of the Mur.
 

Programme:

 

With the Murtalbahn, a narrow gauge railway, we travel together with the bicycles to Stadl an der Mur.

- The starting point is the “Gateway to the Mur valley”, a pedestrian and cyclists’ bridge of an interesting construction

- Wooden bridge, glazed on three sides, in St. Ruprecht/Murau; followed by a tour of the wood museum, unique in Austria

- Wandritschbrücke, an arched bridge

- Past the Cäcilia church, along the Mur river, to St. Lorenzen

- Lunch break

- Imposing wooden Europa bridge (the largest wooden bridge in Europe permitted to carry heavy goods traffic)

- Multiple award-winning Mursteg in Murau


The tour is guided by one of our trained "timber world ambassadors"

Rental fee for bicycles is not included in the price.

 

The price applies for groups of 20 people and over.
