Murau Town Hall

Document Actions
Felicitous revitalisation of a mediaeval building: The Murau Town Hall is an example of the successful symbiosis of an historical building and modern offices. A substantial part of the old walls were restored to their mediaeval state, and the box windows were made from Larch. Arches and wooden beam ceilings stayed as they were. Wood and glass comes together harmoniously with the mediaeval stone and makes the house a popular meeting place.
