Timer route run
|
|
The timber route run takes place on 5th August 2006, and is one of the best-loved running events in Styria, with a fantastic spectator turnout! Running enthusiasts can choose from a hobby run (6.1 km), a quarter marathon (11.1 km), a half marathon (21.1 km), a relay event and a team competition! Children have their own competitions, with a ‘whippersnappers’ route, and there is also a separate "Nordic Walking" event. The picturesque running route is located on the Styrian timber route, and sights worth seeing along the route include a sculptor’s workshop, the Greimhalle and an old mill. The highlights also include the Schloss Feistritz castle, with the imposing Schlossallee. There is also a great programme of surrounding events, with music and the timber route carnival.
