Felicitous revitalisation of a mediaeval building: The Murau Town Hall is an example of the successful symbiosis of an historical building and modern offices. A substantial part of the old walls were restored to their mediaeval state, and the box windows were made from Larch. Arches and wooden beam ceilings stayed as they were. Wood and glass comes together harmoniously with the mediaeval stone and makes the house a popular meeting place. »

Wood for athletes: The facilities were finished in 2004 and include a field, a training area and a zoned area for athletes, a club room, office, public bar and kitchen. Two thirds of the grandstand is covered and can seat about 500 spectators. The upper level is a wooden construction with about 520 m² of extensive, cross layered laminated panels. »

Wood is our beer! The logistics centre of the Murau Brewery measures 15 x 60 m in the central nave and 20 x 60 m on the side naves. It is an impressive example of the large format use of the natural building material, wood, in industrial construction. 6000 m² of cross layered planks were used in the entire construction as well as 185 m² of laminated wood in the shape of support beams and trusses. »
